Think Provider

Think Provider

Yes, think of yourself as a Provider.  A provider of content, a personal aggregator.  I read, watch and listen to a lot of content from podcasts to my google reader, which by the way if I do not read it will fill up to over a 1000 articles in no time flat.  My iPod reads like a who’s who in podcasting (audio & video) from GaryVee to Leo Laporte and still some mortgage and real estate industry.

I glean and  break down some great content on a daily basis, and I know I am not the only one. I get so much information from Twitter and Facebook that at times I feel as though I am swimming in a sea of content.  Reading the new stuff makes me think of several things how can this be useful for someone else or how can I do this a little bit better?  How can I break it down and push it out to those who are perhaps not as adept to the new ways of thinking and sharing. There are those out there that need just one more little piece of the puzzle that will help them open their mind.

Providing content is a great way to drive traffic and business, and lets face it the main reason any of us to have a website is to be found and make more money. Here are a few great ways to help provide content in several niches.

Real Estate – how to maintain a new home. school information, job boards

Mortgage – credit related issues, how to be approved for a home loan

MLM (network marketing) – how to find prospects, that do look for in a company other than product

Coffee house - how to brew a good cup of coffee, have on site lesson like knitting or readings

Social Media – articles on new sites, how to best use the web 2.0 sites for business or just getting connected

If you provide content readers will keep coming back, and when they come back they just may have money in hand.  Creating new content will help establish you as an expert and soon you will be where others will turn for answers and not just in your area of expertise.  This will help you provide leads for those not in your industry.

I know this to be a fact that if you provide leads you get leads.
